A "Scant 1/4-inch"


HOW do I not know these things? I'm about to share with you my most recent discovery. It's called a "scant 1/4-inch". Of course, I had HEARD of a "scant 1/4-inch". It wasn't until recently that I truly understood it though!

Assembly Line Maple Leafs



It's starting to feel like fall! My ABSOLUTE favorite time of the year! There's a crispness in the air. The leaves are beginning to turn to brilliant shades of reds, golds, and oranges. This has inspired me to get back to making Maple Leaf Blocks.

I've had a renewed interest in quilting (see this post). While going through my fabric stash, I found these four finished Maple leaf blocks. Obviously, I was going to do SOMETHING with them, just not sure what.

Quilt Blocks of the Month

I've been quilting (off & on) for almost 30 years now. For some reason, though, I've never done a (quilt) Block of the Month. I've done LOTS of Crochet Blocks of the Month. It's a great way to try different techniques with not a big time commitment. You only have to make one per month!
