I've been trying to concentrate on working on my three blocks for this month (see this post). 10 days into June and I'm "just about" to finish block #2. There have been a few problems. I'll tell you all about it when I finish the blocks and make that post.
In the meantime, I REALLY needed a new tote bag! I had seen this jeans tote bag on Pinterest. I knew it would be perfect for me with all the pockets already sewn into the bag. I'm a hoarder of used jeans (I keep thinking I'm going to make a quilt with some of them). The bag was pretty easy, too. Basically, you whack (that's a technical term) off a pair of jeans just below the zipper. Then sew some more length (I used the fabric in the leg) at the bottom. I made two straps and attached them to the waist. The entire bag took me about 2 hours to construct. I think a lining (or maybe an organizer) would be nice to add later. I'd also like to add some crochet flowers to cover the worn areas, but for now, the bag works and I LOVE it!

Your bag turned out well. I have made a few of these myself and love how each one looks different when you use different jeans or fabrics to line them with.
